Wode Maya, a Ghanaian YouTuber, weds his Kenyan girlfriend, Miss Trudy

Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, a Ghanaian YouTuber , often known online as Wode Maya or Mr Ghanaba, has wedded his Kenyan girlfriend, Miss Trudy, another YouTuber.

His admirers were surprised by the wedding because there was no official or public notice made prior to the customary Kenyan wedding.

Over the weekend, Wode Maya and Miss Trudy exchanged vows in Yala, Busia, Kenya. Many people have described the wedding ceremony as one of the simplest in all of Africa.

Miss Trudy first connected with him on social media.

“He sent me a direct message (DM) four years ago, but I just saw it three months later. He traveled to Kenya to produce content. He had left for home by the time I received the text. I decided to take a chance and travel to Ethiopia because I had savings of $ 40 K and had been active on You Tube for a year, Trudy  revealed.

“In December, he proposed. The sister came over and inquired about my ring size, giving me a hunch, but I wasn’t sure because she was also getting married.

“I assumed she was trying out my ring size on her own. We spent nine days climbing Kilimanjaro, and on the summit, he proposed,” she added.
